Your big day is coming up and we know you want everything to be just perfect. In terms of the bride, besides the dress, one of the things that must be just right is your hair. It really completes the entire picture. So, you need a hair salon that will understand your hair and know what kind of style you want but also what kind of style will look best on your. There is a give and take here. We are sure you have something in mind, but you also want to examine all possibilities. The Denver area has many very professional hair salons that would make you look fabulous, but as we said, this is a very personal thing so you will want to make sure you get the one for you. We have a few suggestions as to how to do just that.
The first thing you will want to do is make a list of potential salons. You can come up with this list in many ways, but we suggest that you start with word of mouth. Ask your friends and family if they have any contacts at all or if they saw a hairstyle at a wedding that you should consider. The internet is always a source as well but be careful about just picking anyone on a list. Check out their portfolio and see if you like any of the styles potential candidates have done for weddings. Once you have a list you are satisfied with, call each one and setup what is called a consultation.
When you show up to your consultation, make sure that you have pictures of styles that you really like and that you are considering for your wedding. While there you will also do a lot of talking about what you like and what you dislike. This will provide inside to a real professional hairstylist. Also, here are a couple of very important tips to make sure you do when you show up for your consultation. Wear a white top so that your hair color show true to the stylist. Also, wear a neckline that is similar to your wedding dress so they know what they will be working with. The same goes for your headpiece, either bring it or at least a picture of it.
At this point, the stylist will try out different styles they feel will work. Make sure you bring a camera and have the stylist take a picture of each new look from different angles. Also, you will want to ask a few questions. Ask if they can provide you with references. Talk about how they like to work, at the salon, or will they come to you on your wedding day? How much will they charge for what you are looking for? Will yours be the only wedding they do on your date?
Once you sit down with all of the information you have gathered, you will want to do an intense comparison. Ask yourself which styles you liked the most. Also, how much do you care if you have to go the their salon or if they come to you. Go with the stylist who provided you with the answers you are most satisfied with and whose references had the most positive things to say about them. You want to make sure you feel comfortable with them and how they treat you personally as well as professionally. Once you have made your decision, you will have to pay a deposit in order to reserve their services for your wedding date. We suggest a formal contract be signed by both parties, after all, this is not just any hair day. Now that you have done your due diligence, you can rest easy in the fact that your hair will look stunning on your special day.
